  Major announcement, news, and video this upcoming Sunday in all kingdomhalls worldwide???

  got a call from a relative that i should go to the meeting this sunday because something major to be announced.

  (they were told it has to do with branches closing down, missionaries being sent home, etc).

  i said it's probably money.

  i'll try to keep this short.

  my experience at the hall is elders not really engaging in friendship building communication with anyone.

  the only time they really communicate with you is to counsel you or tell you where you need to make adjustments.

  The elders do seem to definitely be the muscle of the congregation. Enforces in a way, I'm sure it feels like a special club. The elder's wives are very, very privy and are very influential.

  three of them were ministerial servants.

  If you go to jwsurvey.com, any doubts about the leaked letter being authentic can be put to rest apparently. Cedars got an email from the WBTS legal department to remove it,or else face legal consequences. The letter is in fact removed, which makes it obvious that they were embarrassed about it. Which begs the question, why would they want the letter removed if it was not true?

  me: i've been told that construction of the new branch has been stopped - is this true?.

  debbie: no, it has not ceased, it's carrying on as normal - can i ask where you're calling from?.

  many people think that wt is a publishing company and at one time that was true.

  however, they are slowly fading that out into more digital publications.

  we all have come to the conclusion that printed material from the wt is going way of the dinosaur.

  The Borg really is morphing from a big printing company to a video company. They have to survive in the information age. They realize that people can just get the information with electronic devices. Also the fact that it costs them a lot less overhead.

  All these changes in the last five years are mindblowing

  i can't begin to count all the changes that have happened in the last five years.. i just read they're getting rid of the theocratic ministry school from cedar's blog.. i remember when they released the new theo school book back in 2001. how times have changed.. it's almost scary in a way what's happening.

  there's barely any time to adapt to one change before another change comes along.. there's been more changes in the last five years than the previous 100 years.. i feel like there's some grand puppet master pulling his string.. what if the governing body are not really in charge but just give the impression they're in charge.

  could there be someone else behind the scenes?.

  Yup. I remember vividly 14 years ago the releasing of that new Theocratic School book. All of us were saying ''what a wonderful makeover the School is receiving'', a refreshing new look, etc, etc... In a way it's kind of disappointing comparing now to back then, it's hard to describe. It's just like a day and night difference, like a total 180 turn.
